About Me

My photo
Neighbor Chick
Big Bear, California, United States
Ever see a recipe and want to try it but you don't want to spend the money in case it turns out bad or you don't have the time? I have a passion for being in the kitchen. I don't have kids yet and at the end of a long work day, I want to create something delicious because I'm worth it and my Husband is worth it. I create my own recipes, I try other people's recipes, and I also add special notes to make them easier to understand for people who are just learning to cook. One day, One day, One day...is what I keep telling myself. I would love to have my own diner. We will be retired, have a farm where we can source most of our own fruits, vegetables, and grain. I will call the diner Neighbor Chick's Cafe. The food will be affordable, have many menu options (healthy, not healthy, coffee drinks, desserts, wine of course, and much more). There will be newspapers, magazines, complimentary wireless, and different events each afternoon (bands, book clubs, poetry, cooking classes, and much more). I've worked in the food industry for over 20 years. It's my calling and my retirement plan. Time to cook!
