Boiling Eggs
How do you boil your eggs?
I saw a post on Pinterest lately that you can bake your eggs in the oven. You can either bake at 325 or 350 for 30 minutes. I use the boiling technique and it works miracles for me. I wanted to test the baking technique out to see if it works, and it didn't!
Ingredients:
1 dozen eggs
Salt
White Vinegar
Water
Directions:
Pull eggs out of fridge and leave on the counter until they are room temperature
Fill one pot of water halfway
Sprinkle some salt and dash of vinegar into the water (helps prevent busting eggs)
Add in one dozen room temperature eggs
Turn flame on high and cook eggs until the water is boiling. Rapid boil
Once the water boils, turn the flame to a medium flame (boiling will go down) and set a timer for 20 minutes
When timer goes off, run your pot of water/eggs under cold running water until you can reach in and grab each egg with your hand
Lightly tap each end of each egg on the counter and place it back in the pot under running water
After all eggs have been lightly cracked, place them on a napkin on the counter to cool
Sometimes you might get a boiled egg with a heart on it - It was my lucky day!
Place boiled eggs in a ziplock or container in the fridge. I find that they are perfect 24 hours later
