You will be invited back to any party if you bring this as
your dish. Best appetizer in the world and best artichoke dip you will ever
try. *** I went to a Super Bowl party back in 2002 and someone made this recipe. I've mastered it by adding new additions over the years and it's one of the best appetizers I've ever had. ENJOY!
Estimated prep and cook time: 1 hour
INGREDIENTS:
4 cloves garlic, minced and toasted
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and
drained
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained, separated and
chopped
1 (10 ounce) container Alfredo-style pasta sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
Place garlic in a small baking dish. Bake in the preheated
oven 20 to 30 minutes, until soft. Remove from heat. When cool enough to touch,
squeeze softened garlic from skins
In an 8x8 inch baking dish, spread the roasted garlic,
spinach, artichoke hearts, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese,
and cream cheese
Bake in the preheated oven 20 minutes, remove and stir
completely. Put back in the oven and bake an additional 10 minutes or until
cheeses are melted and bubbly. Optional: Set oven to Broil for 5 minutes and
top the artichoke dip with slivers of hard parmesan to give it a crispy look
Serve warm out of the oven with sides of homemade tortilla
chips, Hawaiian rolls cut into cubes, and pita chips
